DJ Earl Da Pearl
Earl Douglas AKA DJ "Earl da Pearl”: A Professional Vancouver DJ, MC, Creative Designer, and Music Promoter.
For over 25 years Earl has entertained crowds from two to two thousand people. Starting in 1983 Earl worked at Fast Eddie’s Night Club then moved on to other Clubs, including Shalamar, Cotton Club and Casablanca to name a few. By 1995 Earl had experience working in over a dozen Night Clubs. High School Dances, Birthday Parties, Christmas, Graduation, Weddings, Boat Cruises and Corporate events are just a snapshot of Earl’s diversity as a DJ.
Earl’s love for all genres of music and the cultural diversity of Vancouver has encouraged him to build a music collection that covers music from all corners of the globe. Some of the more popular styles include Classic Rock, Jazz, Soul, R&B, Top 40, Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggae, Soca, Calypso, Chutney, Bhangra, Soukouss and Waltz.
Earl graduated from Columbia School of Radio and TV Broadcasting, Recording Engineering Program. Earl spent many years promoting Hip Hop, Reggae and Caribbean Cultural shows. Earl is a major player in the development of Vancouver’s Hip Hop and R&B scene. Earl’s peers and DJ’s from all over the Lower Mainland including DJ’s from “ The Beat ” 94.5FM rewarded his contributions to the DJ music business by their nomination. On June 1st 2009 Earl da Pearl was inducted into the Stylus DJ Hall of Fame in Toronto.
DJ Earl da Pearl is versatile. He is the local’s favorite. Some of his past and present clients include UPS, London Drugs, Canadian Airlines, Hudson Bay Logistics, CBI Medical, Cargill Grain Elevator, Ricoh Canada, Honeywell, Melo Productions and HATCH Engineering.
